Iwan Nurjadin is one of the founding partners of NSMP and is currently the managing partner of the firm. He graduated from University of Indonesia with a degree in law in 1993 and continued his studies at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois where he obtained a Master of Laws degree in 1997.
Mr. Nurjadin is an aviation specialist. He focuses his practice on the aviation industry and airline related businesses, such as aircraft financing, airlines business start-up and reorganization, airport management and airport related businesses, airline catering services, and logistics business. He has extensive experience in handling aircrafts and airline business related transactions.
Mr. Nurjadin has represented various foreign aircraft lessors in connection with the aircrafts purchased or leased by Indonesian airline operators and as well as European banks in connection with the financing of aircrafts acquisition into Indonesia. He has also acted on behalf and advised major Indonesian airline operators in fleet acquisition including delivering 12 aircraft in a single transaction, involving a wide variety of aircrafts, from wide body to narrow body aircraft.
Mr. Nurjadin has advised on widely diversified legal issues in connection with joint ventures, fleet modernization, corporate restructuring and financing for major airlines operators in Indonesia. He has also advised on behalf of his client in connection with the first start-up regional airline in one of the provinces, Indonesia. He also has represented investors in the acquisition of a major catering company in Indonesia who serve the aviation and oil and gas industry. Mr. Nurjadin has also been successful in repossession of aircrafts in Indonesia without having go through the courts.
Mr. Nurjadin actively participates in various local and international seminar, workshop and convention on the aviation and airlines industry.
Mr. Nurjadin is a member of Indonesian Advocates Organization (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia – PERADI) and Interpacific Bar Association.

Ilya Sumono is a founding partner of Nurjadin Sumono Mulyadi and Partners. He graduated from University of Indonesia with a degree in law in 1992. He specializes in corporate commercial, property and labor practices.
His general corporate/commercial works includes various works involving company acquisition, merger, the establishment of foreign/domestic investment company, establishment of local (non-investment facility) company, advising clients in various issues related to mining industry such as compulsory divestment for foreign investment mining company, prohibition to use contractor for mineral extraction by mining concession company. He also advises various oil and gas companies related to their operation in Indonesia on issues such as divestment of 10% participating interest to regional government companies, farming out/in among holders of participating interest, negotiating gas purchase agreement.
His labor practice involves in assisting various multinational companies in manpower matters, covering to day-to-day manpower advisory and compliance, industrial relationship disputes as well as assisting in dealing with labor unions, particularly strike issues.
Mr. Sumono also helps various clients in their real property matters, acquisitions and real property due diligence, assisting in acquisition of buildings and areas of land either private or state/regional government owned.
Mr. Sumono is a member of Indonesian Advocates Organization (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia – PERADI) and Indonesian Capital Market Legal Consultants Association (HKHPM), Indonesian Journalists Association and Indonesian Advocate Association.

Mr. Mulyadi is one of the founding partners of NSMP and began his legal career with at O.C. Kaligis & Associates while he was still a law school student at Universitas Indonesia. He obtained his law degree in 1992. At O.C Kaligis & Associates, Mr. Mulyadi was involved various areas of law including Civil & Criminal Litigation, Administrative Law and Proceedings, Commercial Arbitration, Bankruptcy, Capital Markets and Industrial Relations.
Mr. Mulyadi continued his studies at School of Law, University of New South Wales (LLM), Australia, where he obtained a Master of Laws degree in 1997. In 1999, he joined Adnan Buyung Nasution and Partners, one of the most prominent Indonesian litigation firm, where he gained extensive experience in handling complex and high profile civil and criminal litigation cases.
In late 2001, he set up Maqdir & Mulyadi Law Firm where he handled general corporate and capital market matters including various litigation issues on various scales. At NSMP, Mr. Mulyadi focuses his practice primarily on civil & criminal litigation, administrative procedures, commercial arbitration, bankruptcy and insolvency as well as labor disputes.
Aside of litigation practice, Mr. Mulyadi also advises and handles general corporate matters and capital market transaction. On capital market he involves in matters particularly related to bonds issuance and initial public offerings.
Mr. Mulyadi actively participates in various seminars and trainings related to commerciallitigation, bankruptcy, and capital market.
Mr. Mulyadi is a member of the Indonesian Bar Association (IKADIN), Indonesian Advocates Organization (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia – PERADI) and Indonesian Capital Market Legal Consultants Association (HKHPM).

Dewanto Suharto is a partner at NSMP. He graduated from University of Indonesia with a degree in law in 1994 and continued his studies at United States International University, Sandiego, where he obtained a Master of Business Administration degree in 1996.
He joined NSMP in 2007 bringing with him his over 10 years experience of commercial practice with profound Indonesian law firms where he appointed as the partner in Roosdiono & Partners (2005-2007 and Lubis Gani Surowidjojo law firm (2002-2004). At NSMP, he concentrates his practice in general corporate, commercial transactions and oil and gas.
Mr. Suharto has broad and in depth experience in merger and acquisition, particularly in banking industry. He has handled numerous landmark acquisitions of Indonesian publicly listed and private commercial banks such as Bank Central Asia, Bank Niaga, Bank Bumi Putra, and Bank Danamon. He has had the opportunity to represented sellers, investors, and regulators in those transactions. He was also involved in the strategic sale of a major Indonesian cement producer. He also represented several oil and gas companies in their exploration and exploitation in Indonesia. His merger and acquisition experience includes structured divestment of Indonesian security and mining companies.
Mr. Suharto’s most recent experience includes advising on behalf of a major insurance company for initial public offering in Indonesia. He handled liquidation and business reorganization of a major joint venture house hold products manufacturer in Indonesia. He is also actively involved in regulatory work relating to the development and financing of various toll road projects in Indonesia.

Irawati Chandra begun her career at NSMP in 2007 as a senior associate and became a partner since July 2012. She obtained her law degree from University of Indonesia in 1990 and subsequently joined Otto Cornelis Kaligis & Associates to commence her professional career as a practicing lawyer for almost 7 years. Afterwards, for the enhancement of her corporate knowledge, she worked for Soewito Suhardiman Eddymurthy & Kardono, a prominent law firm in Jakarta, and followed thereafter with the joint-partnership in a well established law office for several years before joining NSMP.
She focuses her practice on handling various cases, including but not limited to civil, commercial, arbitration, criminal, administrative and industrial relation dispute settlement. As a listed capital market consultant, she also involves in preparing and providing clients with legal audits for the purpose of conducting the Initial Public Offering, Acquisition and Merger. In developing Intellectual Property (“IP”) works, she often represents and assists clients to file applications for registration of Marks, Copyrights, Patents and Industrial Designs. Yet, rendering her assistance for commercial court proceedings related to the process of Cancellation Lawsuits for Registered Marks and IP violations.
She represents and accompanies domestic and foreign clients during negotiations process with counterparts, mediations at courts and Manpower Office, investigations at Police Offices and District Attorneys as well as cross-examination process before the court and arbitration board.
She is a member of Indonesian Advocates Organization (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia – PERADI), Capital Market Legal Consultant Association (Himpunan Konsultan Hukum Pasar Modal – HKHPM) and Committee as Government Relation of Indonesian Intellectual Property Rights Consultant Association (Asosiasi Konsultan Hak Kekayaan Intelektual Indonesia – AKHKI).
